Overview

Since its inception in 1988, Procam International has been the driving force behind the growth and development of sports management in India. With astute planning and exemplary execution, Procam has a track record of conceptualizing and promoting over 90 international events and are the pioneers of the Distance Running Revolution in India.

Strategy

Procam requires a unique strategy primarily because it involves mass participation and the target audience is very different. The website, being the primary and only source of information for the participants, needs to be dynamically updated and monitored to ensure smooth and correct dissemination of information, alongside a well-thought user navigation to ensure that desired content is obtained with minimal effort. These efforts extend on social media, with campaigns driving the running culture. It created a connect to get all kinds of runners closer to the event through extraordinary stories of ordinary people.

Creativity & Innovation

Due to the uniqueness of the project, Procam requires constant creativity and innovation to help engage the user year-on-year. Here are some of the highlights:

Better Tomorrow campaign: Aimed at generating personalized certificates for runners who have participated in the campaign, which they can share on social media.

My Journey campaign: A personalized video showing the statistics and performance an individual over the period of years he/she has participated in the event.

Creativity & Innovation

Bib surrender facility: A feature that aided the runners in surrendering their bibs online to reduce the hassle, as well as, reduce logistical issues for the Procam team.

Nestle: A unique idea was devised to promote Nestle, a major sponsor for all Procam events, where we developed a BMI and fitness calculator to help the runners understand their fitness levels and also receive tips from Nestle.

Live streaming and results: All Procam events are live streamed and results are dynamically updated.

Execution

Most of Procam's innovative features involve SI's various teams to come together and execute the best-in-class product. The teams involved are Social, Web & Mobile and Data & Analytics. On social media, the avenues covered:

#MyJourney: A concept never tried by any marathon in the world, #MyJourney was launched to add exclusivity along with a personalised touch for event runners.

Execution

#BetterTomorrow: A great post-event engagement activity, runners were asked to predict their personal bests before the start of the marathon, and congratulatory digital certificates dispersed once they finished, which acted as a memento.

#BeBetter Video Series: Inspirational stories highlighting the hardships of the common man were created, focusing on how running had helped them achieve glory and happiness.

Execution

#SetThePace: To promote the All Women Pacers initiative, the #SetThePace campaign was conceptualized to highlight stories of a son, father, employee, daughter and how the women in their lives have helped them set the pace.

#DoRunKolkata: Driving registrations and creating awareness were our major objectives for TSK25 and to achieve this, we ran multiple video teasers and ad campaigns, which led to a boost of more than 200 per cent in registrations.
