The creation of the global Tennis Masters Series, consisting of the ATP Tour's nine premier events with a unified branding, is an important part of the strategy for 21st century tennis.
The tournaments forming part of the Tennis Masters Series are: Indian Wells, Ericsson Open/Miami, Monte Carlo, Rome, Hamburg, Toronto/Montreal, Cincinnati, Paris and Stuttgart. The series culminates with the Tennis Masters Cup.

TENNIS MASTERS CUP:
The Tennis Masters Cup is the season's final showdown in which the eight best players of the year compete for US$3.7 million in prize money and valuable points in the ATP Champions Race for year-end World No.1. The 2003 event returns to the United States for the first time since 1989, and will be held in Houston for the first time since 1976.
