ATHENS 2004:
The long journey of the Olympic Games began more than 2,700 years ago. The first modern Olympics was held in 1896 and since then, every four years, top athletes from around the globe battle against the toughest opponents for the much sought after award - an Olympic gold. In 2008, the Olympics will move to the far east where Beijing will host the two week long extravaganza.
